Harmony event unites Nambour in music

Nambour Forecourt Live!, The Harmony Week-themed event promoting inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone was held in Nambour Forecourt on Friday March 18 in a celebration of colour and sound.

Sunshine Coast Council Division 10 Councillor David Law said organisers were  working towards the live events becoming monthly in future, in partnership with Andrea Kirwin, founder of Nambour business Peace Run Records & Agency.

“It’s an activation of the forecourt, which has been beautifully refurbished by council,” Ms Kirwin said.

With plenty of seating, grassed areas to roll out a picnic mat and shady trees, the area was canopied by festoon lighting to provide an amazing space for people to relax, have fun and socialise. The program involved sharing songs from different countries, as well as multicultural dances, a fashion show and guest speakers. The Forecourt is in front of Council’s Eddie De Vere Building, corner of Currie and Bury Streets.
