Thriving dads come together at Nambour Community Centre

Are you a dad looking to connect with other fathers and discover resources to enhance your parenting skills?

Are you seeking engaging and cost-free activities to enjoy with your kids in your local area?

The Nambour Community Centre has introduced the "Thriving Families Dad Group" over the past year, offering Dads and their kids the chance to engage in various fun activities together.

This monthly event is open to all men residing in or near Nambour who play a caregiving role for a child, whether as a parent, relative, or part of the extended family.

Led by two male Social Workers, this welcoming, fun and supportive environment celebrates the vital role of fathers, encourages them to embrace their parenting responsibilities, challenges gender norms, and advocates for healthy relationships and well-being for men and their families. Previous Thriving Families Dad Group activities have included lawn bowls, water slides, pinball arcade, fishing, cooking, movie nights, and birdhouse building.

Join us on Wednesday September 18th between 4 pm and 7 pm for the upcoming free Thriving Families Dad Group gathering. We will meet at Fisherman’s Road Park Maroochydore at 4pm for a fun afternoon of footy, games and pizza.  Thriving Families are also giving Dads the opportunity to register their details to join our mailing list & receive monthly updates on what's happening out there for Dads, tips on parenting and much more.
