‘Come and Try’ Lawn Bowls at Nambour at Free Friday events

The Nambour Bowls Club is hosting free ‘Come and Try’ Lawn Bowls sessions every Friday afternoon from 3pm-6pm. This will be an ideal opportunity for members of the local community to come along and give bowls a go. Participants are not required to commit to the entire 3 hour session but can come and go to suit their commitments. A free sausage sizzle will be available during the April sessions.

The Club is keen to introduce the game to players aged 10 years to Seniors who can join in the fun of a skilful, challenging and entertaining game. Bowls will be available for use while coaches and members will be on hand to assist, provide basic instructions and organise games.  Guests are asked to wear flat sole shoes, thongs or play in bare feet.

Local community and social groups can also join in the fun by staging their own Barefoot Bowls friendlies. Special rates for Friday afternoon sessions are available and bookings are required. Group Barefoot Bowls sessions are popular and can also be arranged at other times. The Club offers attractive Membership fees, Air-Conditioned clubhouse amenities, Bar and BBQ facilities and is a great venue for Seminars, Dances and functions for Social Clubs, Corporate, Business and School Groups.

The Come and Try sessions will be held every Friday afternoon throughout the year at the Nambour Bowls Club which is located at 76 Coronation Avenue, adjacent the Nambour Showgrounds. For catering purposes and more information, guests are encouraged to telephone 5441 1076 or check the Club’s Facebook page.
