Museum Open Day to mark 20 years since Sugar Mill closed

The final load of sugar to be processed, 20 years ago

Nambour Museum is holding a free public open day on October 14 to mark the 20th anniversary of the closure of the sugar mill and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the museum association.

The day will be held from 10am to 3pm Nambour Museum 18 Mitchell Street, Nambour

Formalities to begin at 11.00am, including the official opening of the Museum’s new display dedicated to the Maroochy River Tram-way Lift Span Bridge. There will be performances from the Sunshine Brass Brand, and a special oration from Wendy O’Hanlon.
