The Nambour Chamber of Commerce will host a ‘Meet the Candidates’ event at the Nambour RSL on October 16.

Chamber President Mark Bray said all five candidates would be attending the event which has been designed with a Q&A format.

“We are extending an invitation to business people in the Nicklin electorate who are interested in asking questions of the candidates on topics that may be relevant to their businesses,” he said.

“The format of the evening is deliberately quite casual because we felt it offered a great opportunity for people to come along and meet the candidates in a less formal setting, and have the opportunity to have conversations with them.”

The candidates for Nicklin are Robert Skelton (ALP), Marty Hunt (LNP), Melody Lindsay (Legalise Cannabis Queensland) Phillip Eschler (Family First Party), Sue Etheridge (Greens).

Entry to the event is free and there will be free canapes.

“The Nambour RSL is a great space to hold an event like this and we would love to see as many business people join us as possible,” said Mr Bray.

• The evening will run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the Nambour RSL Zinc Bar, with the forum starting at 6pm. You can RSVP on this link www.wavecrm.com.au/event/01J7MNY87X1DR716JTD94HJSTH
