World class performers come to hinterland

The December 4 concert will feature an impressive repertoire from Daniel Le, above, and Allie Wang, below.

Lucas Parklands will host the final concert for the year this Sunday December 4.

“We have enjoyed some incredibly beautiful music during this past year, performed by the world’s best musicians,” said Ian Lucas.

“We are honoured to bring world class performers to the Hinterland in a venue that allows the audience a very unique  ‘close up and personal experience’.

No other auditorium allows you to sit within a few metres of a world-renowned pianist performing the greatest music ever written. Lucas Parklands offers a very special experience.

During the past 12 months, local classical music lovers have been treated to the phenomenal skill and talent of brilliant musicians like pianists Piers Lane AO, Konstantin Shamray, Kristian Chong, Daniel Le, Allie Wang, and Gerard Willems AM. The best of the best.

“Being able to present the greatest music ever composed, interpreted by the best musicians in the world in our intimate concert room is both a pleasure and privilege. I am continuously flattered that these artists choose to visit LP and play for us all, and humbled by our audience’s genuine enthusiasm towards them,” Ian said.

“Our final concert for the year will cap off an outstanding year of music for our guests.”

In what will be return performances for Daniel Le and Allie Wang, the December 4 concert will feature an impressive repertoire which will include Mozart’s Piano Concerto no 21 with Allie Wang as soloist and Daniel Le playing piano 2, Ravel’s Piano Concerto with Allie Wang as soloist and Daniel Le playing piano 2.

Daniel Le will then perform Liszt’s Mephisto Waltz, Ravel’s Ondine and Gershwin/Wild’s Virtuosic etudes on Gershwin’s songs.

“Allie Wang is a Steinway pianist, visiting from New York where she works as accompanist to leading string players specializing in the violin repertoire,” said Ian.

“Daniel Le is one of Australia’s finest young pianists who also worked in New York and has returned to Australia. We are extremely excited for our guests to experience these exceptionally talented musicians in our auditorium.”
