Eudlo’s Long Listen Festival launches two-for-one donor campaign

Emily Granger and Louise King perform at a recent Long Listen Festival in Eudlo Hall.

Long Listen, the hinterland’s celebrated independent music festival, is calling on the community to help secure its future by joining its ACF Boost Donor Campaign, running from March 1 to April 30, 2025.

Long Listen Artistic Director Louise King said the fundraising initiative aimed to raise $10,000, with every dollar matched dollar-for-dollar through the Australian Cultural Fund (ACF) Boost program.

“Meaning the impact of every donation is doubled. What an incredible gift,” Louise said.

The campaign, titled “Listen Forward”, offers supporters the chance to become Founding Festival Donors and play a direct role in expanding Long Listen Festival’s artistic vision, community reach, and long-term sustainability.

Louise said by supporting the campaign, donors will help bring world-class artists to the Sunshine Coast.

“More funding means we can invite international performers and commission new works that align with its East Meets West theme. Funds will support music education programs, family-friendly events, and initiatives to connect young and underrepresented audiences with live music experiences. By backing this campaign, the community helps create a cultural legacy, ensuring the festival grows into a nationally significant event while also fostering local talent.

“With ACF Boost, we have an opportunity to double every dollar and make a lasting impact—not just for this year’s festival, but for years to come. By donating, sharing, and spreading the word, our community can help create a thriving, world-class music festival right here in our backyard.”

An Artist’s Perspective

Internationally acclaimed musician and Long Listen guest artist, Emily Granger, QSO Principal Harpist said donations would help strengthen the festival’s future.

“Festivals like Long Listen don’t just showcase music—they build connections between artists and the community. The support from this campaign means we can dream bigger, create more meaningful collaborations, and share world-class performances with audiences who might not otherwise have access to them. It’s about keeping the arts alive and accessible, and that’s something truly worth supporting.”
