Upcoming Event: Hilarious Lisa launches latest book of poetry

Mark your calendars for a special occasion in Maleny as the town prepares to celebrate the launch and christening of Lisa Plucknett's latest literary endeavor, "In the Bath & Up the Garden Path,” on Sunday, June 9 at 1.30pm.

The launch will be held at a private Maleny address and proceeds will benefit the Maleny Hospital Auxiliary.

"Join us for an afternoon of poetry, punch, and camaraderie as we gather to honour the creative talents of Lisa Plucknett,” said Maleny Hopsital Auxiliary President Carole Lewis. “This is Lisa’s fifth book launch. She is a Maleny gem, a wordsmith, writer, poet and musician. Not to mention the most inspiring, young-at-heart, 90-year-old I know! Lisa is a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, Lifetime Member of the Garden Club and Maleny Senior Citizens and the book launch raffle donations will go to the Maleny Hospital Auxiliary. With 55 poems covering a multitude of topics, there's something for everyone to enjoy."

Attendees are asked to carpool where possible, bring your own outdoor chair and cup/mug, and be prepared for an enjoyable afternoon filled with literary delights. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at $2 each, with proceeds benefiting the Hospital Auxiliary. Plus, copies of Lisa Plucknett's book will be available for purchase at $20 each (cash only, please).
