Library Lovers Day features free events

Celebrate your love of Sunshine Coast Council Libraries, this Library Lovers Day (February 14) with free events and family fun!

Visit your local library from February 10 - 14 and write down what you love most about your library. You’ll be rewarded with a free heart-shaped chocolate!

You can also get creative and learn to make something for someone you love at one of Sunshine Coast Libraries Creative Crochet workshops.

Strong Community Portfolio Councillor Taylor Bunnag said there would be activities all week across Sunshine Coast Libraries that highlighted the different ways our community love and use libraries.

“Libraries are such important places in our communities,” Cr Bunnag said.

“They can be places where kids discover their love of reading and a place to discover new things.

“Visit your local library and show your love and appreciation for the contribution libraries play in our everyday lives.

“Libraries are a smart investment, transforming lives and communities, and are places that passionately advocate for lifelong learning.

“Be sure to check out the library displays during this week for books that could transform your life!”
