The desire to buy Australian and support Aussie producers and companies is nowhere more evident than at Maleny IGA. In the months following the introduction of their Buy Australian shelf wobblers, the wave of support for Australian products has gained momentum.

“The Wobblers initiative has been extremely successful,” said store owner, Rob Outridge. “We felt that there was a groundswell of interest so we were basically testing the water with our campaign. In reality, the response to it has exceeded our expectations,” he said. “And it’s growing. This is great news for everyone.”

With regular shoppers filling their trolleys with all Australian products, it seems that people appreciate the education and choice that the wobblers give them.

“For those who are inclined to lean towards Australian products, the wobblers point them in the right direction, and from there they can make a very informed choice,” Mr Outridge said.
