Manpreet bakes cakes that taste great and they are good for you!

Now you can have your cake and eat it too: Manpreet Kaur of Husk and Honey Cafe in Nambour  makes cakes to satisfy your dietary requirements and your taste buds.

If you have a sweet tooth and specific food  sensitivities, Manpreet Kaur of Husk and Honey Cafe in Nambour has created a  beautiful range of made-to-order cakes to satisfy your requirements and your taste buds.

“Many people have allergies or dietary restrictions which means that they struggle to find cakes and sweets for special occasions,” said Manpreet.

“So I decided to get busy in the kitchen and am working on a variety of cakes that cater to these people.”

Manpreet has developed delicious cakes that range from gluten and/or grain free, to  raw, vegan, refined sugar free, nut free and keto friendly.

“I am trialing one cake per week,” Manpreet explained. “We do not keep the cakes in the cabinet at Husk and Honey to sell by the slice because we only use absolutely premium ingredients, and no preservatives. So if we don’t sell the entire cake, it is an expensive waste,” she said.

“We are finding that our cakes are in very high demand online because people want something really special for celebrations, and they want to buy the entire cake.”

To date, Manpreet’s range includes Chocolate Mousse Cake (GF) and Almond Cake (GF), raw Lemon Curd Cake (GF), refined sugar-free Coffee Walnut Cake,  raw Sprouted Raspberry Cake, raw Acai Zebra Cake, raw Roll Cake and raw Almond Strawberry Chocolate Cake.

Occasional and daily cake menus will soon be made available.

Manpreet is also making traditional Indian sweets and treats which are now available online.

“Indians love their sweets and it is difficult to buy home made traditional sweets here in Australia,” she said. “So I have added Indian favourites such as Coconut Laddu, Pure Desi Ghee Atta Biscuits, Besan Barfi and Gulab Jamun to my online range,” she said.
