A welcome addition to help promote Hinterland Tourism

Last Wednesday marked the launch of Hinterland Tourism’s brand new “Welcome to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland” coffee table book.

Hinterland Tourism held a member networking event at Flaxton Gardens to launch the beautiful hard-cover book compiled by graphic artist Katie Buckley.

In launching the book Hinterland Tourism President Kerry Brown said she was proud of how well the individual tourism operators worked together with her organisation.

“It’s important that we all achieve in our own endeavours, but the most important thing is that we all collaborate and that we all work together. And I think that’s the strength of Hinterland Tourism. It’s about working together, being collaborative, and everybody achieves more.

“This book is something that we can hold and it’s something that’s tangible and it’s proof that we do achieve more when we all come together.”

The book will be available at accommodation houses throughout the hinterland to encourage activity, exploration and more tourism. “Somebody who’s staying in the area will pick up the book while here, look through it and they’ll think, ‘maybe we should stay an extra couple of days or maybe come back again’. I think that’s the sort of thing that this wonderful book can do.”
