Hearing aids, tests and advice from independent audiologists

Anita Burgess and Emryn Maclachlan are not tied to a particular brand of hearing aid and can offer independent advice.

Business Writeup: Sunshine Coast Audiology

Sunshine Coast Audiology was established last year by Anita Burgess and Emryn Maclachlan and is conveniently located in Sippy Downs, with easy access from both the Bruce Highway and the Sunshine motorway.

Having most recently worked together in Nambour, Anita and Emryn were keen to open an Audiology clinic that was locally owned and independent of hearing aid manufacturers. This enables them to provide personalised service and give patients the time they need to fully understand their results and consider their options in an unrushed environment which in turn leads to greater patient satisfaction and better outcomes.

Both Anita and Emryn are both fully qualified and university trained audiologists and have over 15 years of combined experience across a number of audiology settings.

Sunshine Coast Audiology is an accredited provider of the Government’s Hearing Services Program, which can provide free and subsided hearing tests and hearing aids (when necessary) for eligible veterans and pensioners.

Privately funded patients are also welcome and being independent allows Anita and Emryn to make device recommendations that best fit the needs of the patient and their budget as they are not tied to recommending a particular brand of hearing aid.

Recently Sunshine Coast Audiology have expanded their services to include ear wax removal. This popular service can be performed via irrigation, micro-suction or manual removal. This is in addition to offering hearing testing of adults and children aged 4 years and older, as well as tinnitus advice, custom ear plugs and accessories such as TV headsets.

Anita and Emryn pride themselves on offering the best client care and service on the Sunshine Coast.
