Member for Nicklin Marty Hunt has extended his recently launched Community Groups Recovery Grant Program to support Community Groups in the Nicklin Electorate who are doing it tough.

“COVID-19 restrictions have hit our local community groups hard - with the majority of fundraising activities ceasing to a halt and leaving Community Groups with limited income.

“Community Groups in Nicklin are our lifeline – they deliver so much to people and families in our community and we need to give them all the support we can, to allow them to do the great work they do – particularly in these trying times,”  Mr Hunt said.

“I am going to extend the deadline for these grants to Friday 16 October. $300  grants are available to eligible Community Groups in the Nicklin Electorate. Interest groups should contact my office (Nicklin@parliament.qld.gov.au) for eligibility,” Mr Hunt said.
