Ginger Factory unveils Zog Trail attraction

The rain was pouring down but it did not dampen the spirits of visitors to Yandina’s Ginger Factory at the opening of the latest attraction, The Zog Trail last month.

Tourism Manager, Brenda Bailey quipped “thanks to the rain, this could well be the first attraction on the coast to be opened and closed on the same day!”

But the steady stream of gumboot and raincoat-clad children and their families were proof positive that it will take more than wet weather to keep families from getting out and having fun these holidays.

Ms Bailey officially opened the Zog Trail, which is an Australian first attraction, combining a cutting edge, interactive app, with the stunning rainforest grounds at the Ginger Factory.

“When the idea was first presented to us, it took very little effort to persuade the owners that this idea was going to be a winner, and bring visitors to the Ginger Factory, over and over again,” she said.

Ms Bailey thanked all of the businesses that helped to bring this fun and colourful attraction to life, including Social Tap, Express Print & Mail, Pacific Building & Alterations, ASV Audio Visual, Nambour, and a kilt cladded blacksmith – Alex Greef from Bribie Island, as well as Ginger Factory staff.

The school holidays are the perfect time to get out and explore the gorgeous Ginger Factory grounds and let your children’s imaginations run wild as they experience the Zog Trail.

“We are just so fortunate to be able to bring this kind of experience to the hinterland, and we know that our visitors of all ages will love it.”

The trail is free and open seven days a week.

The Ginger Factory’s Zog Trail is an attraction with a hi-tech difference.
