Nambour star’s new Today gig

Nambour’s Dan Anstey anchors Today with Sam Armytage.

TODAY Show viewers woke up to a very different looking line-up at the desk over the Christmas period, with Sam Armytage and Nambour’s own Dan Anstey taking the reins.

Dan is no stranger to the Today studios, as a regular weather presenter on Weekend Today. Although, instead of his regular on-the-road get-up of a t-shirt and shorts and sometimes flip-flops, Dan donned a suit and tie for his new gig. “Dan Anstey, nice to see you, nice to meet you - well, we met at Melbourne Cup, didn’t we?” Sam said during the intro.

But, ever the prankster, Dan hinted that his memory was a little hazy after Cup Day celebrations. “I can’t remember that now,” he said. “You may have confused me with another Dan.”
