The Country House at Hunchy has been recognised as a Tripadvisor 2020 Travellers’ Choice Award Winner for Accommodation.

Based on a year of Tripadvisor guest reviews, prior to any changes caused by the pandemic, Award Winners are acknowledged for consistently receiving great traveller feedback, placing them in the top 10 percent of hospitality businesses around the globe.

“We stick by traditional Bed & Breakfast principles: a good bed, good company and simple home cooked food done well,” said owner Karin Orwin. “We pinch ourselves when we remember this is only our fourth year in the tourism industry.

“We look forward to the local tourism industry continuing to recover from what has not been a good year so far but booking numbers have improved recently,” said Paul.

“We are really proud of what we accomplished in the Awards this year together with achieving 5 Star Accreditation and winning Silver in the Queensland Tourism Awards in November.”

The Country House at Hunchy provides its guests with Accredited 5 Star Luxury Accommodation near Montville. Paul and Karin have been the owners for nearly 4 years after semi-retiring from their corporate suburban world in Brisbane to live their dream of owning a Luxury Accommodation establishment in their favourite part of the world.

The property is a sprawling modern Queenslander Homestead with Hamptons styling set on over 11 acres of lush rainforest. It is designed to accommodate a small number of guests in a secluded, serene and private environment but close to all that the Sunshine Coast and Hinterland offers the discerning visitor.
