Nambourians hankering for their regular meal at the RSL can rest easy. The local club has launched a takeaway menu so you can select your meal, pre-pay over the phone and make your collection curb-side.

Apparently the menu hit the spot with locals straight off the bat. The Gazette was there for the launch last Wednesday and Executive Chef Matt Smyth was already busy with orders.

“We’re offering restaurant-quality winter warmer comfort food,” he said. “Our menu will change regularly to keep things interesting, so people need to keep their eye on the website.”

Nambour RSL CEO Suzanne Long said it was a welcome move back to normality amidst the COVID shutdown.

“A lot of people have been enquiring about what we’re doing and wondering when we’re coming back,” she said.

“This is a great way to support our members, the community and our staff.

“We’re excited to see familiar faces and meet new friends. So be sure to view our menu and give us a try.”

The menu is available every Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 12.30pm–7pm.

Phone 0402 086 548 from 8am on takeaway-days, place your order and staff will meet you curb-side of the main entrance with your meals.
