‘Come & Try Day’ and ‘Jack Attack’ …. coming soon….

This week, the Yandina Bowls Club - Club Yandina is excited to be hosting our annual ‘Come and Try Day’ and next month, our next ‘Jack Attack’ competition; participation programs supported by Bowls Queensland and Bowls Australia.

Our ‘Come and Try Day’, with an Oktoberfest fancy-dress theme, will start at 12 noon on Sunday, 13 October 2024, with German style hotdogs and beers available for purchase, followed by social barefoot bowls at no cost.

‘Jack Attack’ is a social, fast moving, shorter format of bowls that provides a pathway for novice players or barefoot bowlers to get involved in a more structured competition. ‘Jack Attack’ encourages participation with its easy rules and fun atmosphere, and the competition involves teams of 3, with up to 6 players able to register for a team to accommodate for busy lifestyles and substitutions.

Club Yandina’s ‘Jack Attack’ competition will commence from 6pm, on Wednesday, 6 November 2024 and will continue for 4 weeks each Wednesday evening. Food and drinks will be available, and prizes will be awarded each night and at the end of the competition.

Club Yandina hopes that both the ‘Come and Try Day’ and ‘Jack Attack’ will be catalysts for participants to try their hand at the game of bowls, while providing an avenue for local community and business people to connect with each other.

So…why not have a go?  You never know, you may well be a future bowls champion just waiting for an opportunity?

Please simply come along at 12 noon for the ‘Come and Try Day’ on Sunday 13 October, and also contact the Club by phone on 5446 7126 (and please leave a message) or by email at yandinabowlsclubinc@bigpond.com to register your team of friends or workmates for ‘Jack Attack’.
