Village Pickle owners Brendan Chan and Jaimi Crocker ... “We specialise in fermented foods and every menu item has a fermented ingredient.”

The Village Pickle in Nambour is back serving their unique specialty foods and coffees. “Being so close to the Hospital, we did close for a brief period of time,” said owner, Jaimi Crocker.

“But it allowed us to work on our business so that we were ready to go when things started to open up again.”

The brainchild of Jaimi and her partner, Brendan Chan, The Village Pickle is aptly named.

“We specialise in fermented foods and every menu item has a fermented ingredient,” Jaimi said.

“We describe ourselves as a cafe bar/ BBQ joint because we also make our own smoked meats and hot sauces.

“Everything is made from premium fresh ingredients, from scratch, in house. We carry local craft beers and locally roasted, organic coffee.

“We have incredible local produce which we showcase in our menu,” she said.

“Our signature dish is our take on a New York classic — the Reuben sandwich,” Brendan said. “It is made with our house smoked brisket pastrami, house made mustard, Russian dressing and sauerkraut. But we also have tasty options for vegetarians as well.”
