BOQ Nambour & Hinterland are excited to announce Matt Wall has become the new Owner-Manager of the branch. If the name or face sounds familiar, you’d be right – prior to investing as an Owner-Manager, Matt looked after the local community’s banking needs in his capacity as BOQ Nambour’s Branch Manager. With over 10 years banking experience behind him, Matt is thrilled to have made this exciting next step in his career.

“I have long considered investing in BOQ as an Owner-Manager, but was never brave enough until now. Over the years I had met many BOQ team members and it was apparent BOQ’s culture and outlook was vastly different. I was delighted to find that purchasing BOQ Nambour was a possibility, and from there it was an easy decision - I chose to invest.” Matt says.

Matt coming on board as Owner-Manager isn’t the only change the branch has seen either, with the recent inclusion of ‘Hinterland’ in the name recognising the support they provide not just to Nambour but neighbouring communities too.

“Nambour has never been a town that has just looked after just its own. It is a service hub that supports a large geographic area and diverse population. I felt that it would be appropriate that we recognised that in our name.”

Matt and his team are community minded individuals, who have strong ambitions for the branch.

“Our aim is to serve the Nambour & Hinterland communities with distinction and we’re excited to help the community to achieve their financial goals - whether it be business or personal. We like to say we’re the perfect mix of country service meets city banking,” he said.

“We’re here as locals to support locals – if our customers thrive, so will we.”
