Uni brings Blues back to earth in second half

After their first win of the season in round six the Hinterland Blues QFA Div 1 Seniors were outclassed on May 6 by a fast-finishing University of Queensland.

The Blues went down 105-69 after level pegging 40-all at half time. The Blues were coming off their historic first win in the higher division the week before. They beat Springwood 124-92 at home on April 29.

Best players against Uni included Jack Mahon, Jeremy Mills, Charles Pennant, Joshua Nanninga, Isaac Richardson and Harry Jones. 

• This Saturday (May 13) they play top-placed Coorparoo in a home match the at Jubilee Drive Fields at Palmwoods at 2pm. 

On May 20 they play second-placed Caloundra at Caloundra.

Crushers continue winning rugby league form against Coolum

Nambour Crushers maintained their momentum for the season with a 14-12 win against Coolum at Crusher Park on Saturday May 6. 

Tryscorers were Lachlan Short, Jack Williams-Sproat and Benjamin Scott. The win keeps them in clear second place on the table behind Beerwah.

This Saturday (May 13) Nambour plays Noosa at Tewantin. The match starts at 6pm. On May 20 they play ladder leaders Beerwah at Beerwah at 6pm.
