Although Yandina was not able to celebrate their 150th birthday in the way they had hoped prior to COVID, the town rallied in true country spirit and held a two day Crazy Dayz event over the weekend just gone.

Just in time for these much anticipated celebrations Yandina Art Framing’s Managing Partner Alice Graham, organised an Art Festival in the grounds of the much loved and iconic framing shop, where 6 local artists displayed and sold their work on Saturday the 19th of September.

As well, a selection of local artists displayed their art in the refurbished front of the shop which has been transformed into a gallery.

“We are very pleased to be able to act as the focal point for the multitude of talented artists who live on the Coast and Hinterland,” said owner Bill Gissane.

“We saw this change as a critical adjunct to our well established business.  We’ve listened to our customers and in addition to art for sale, we will also be offering a wide selection of quality art supplies and canvases.

“These changes are sure to cement Yandina’s position as an arts mecca on the Coast and Hinterland.”
