Piranhas send three swimmers to Queensland Short Course Titles

The Piranhas performed well at the event held at Chandler Aquatic Centre, Brisbane. “It has been many years since the oldest club on the Sunshine Coast has had even one representative,” said Coach David Simon. “There are clear signs of a resurgence of the Olympic sport in the Hinterland.” David said the swimmers lived up to the team’s ethos of ‘Strong spirits. Fierce racers’.  “They have a communicated will to redefine what #nambourtough looks like,” he said. “It gives clear signs of this team’s trajectory — to again put Nambour on the map of performance swimming.” Nambour Aquatic Centre, managed by Belgravia Leisure, is currently undergoing a million dollar development for an early summer opening. On November 13 the Club and pool will host over 300 swimmers from across Wide Bay for the Nambour Long Course Development Meet.
