St George’s Anglican Church Maleny is delighted to welcome guest performer, Michael Faragher, a well known, highly regarded Brisbane jazz pianist, to their first concert of the year.

Talented vocalist and local identity Emily Davies  will also delight.

“Gentle Jazz” is being held on the 13 March, 2021 at 3pm at St George’s Anglican Church, Maleny. Michael was ordained an Anglican priest in 2008, but has been able to continue his music to the benefit of his Church and other organisations.

He holds impressive academic musical awards and by invitation, has performed in many Australian jazz festivals. Composing commissions for ABC orchestras, commercial work  in radio, film and television, plus musical direction for visiting celebrities such as Ronny Corbett reflect his talent.

Emily hopes to pursue a career in opera and musical theatre beyond secondary school.  The programme includes beautiful renditions of well known jazz melodies.  We are privileged to have performers of this calibre here in Maleny.

• Tickets are $20 per head and limited; so please book early on Trybooking or through Susan Myring on 5494 3062 or 0407 953 225.
