Baroque brilliance comes to Eudlo Hall
It’s the annual Baroque Brilliance concert time to be performed by the Pacific Chamber Players from the Sunshine Coast.
The concerts will be held on Saturday November 13, at 2.30 pm at Eudlo Hall and on Sunday 14 November at Cooroy Memorial Hall at 2.30pm.
The programme will feature the Sunshine Coast’s talented players, Donna McMahon, Cathy Roberts, Anna Moores, Andrew Paszkowski, Anne Bowyer, Sharelle Guest, Warren Brewer, Nick Davey and importantly, the multi-instrumentalist, Janet Brewer accompanying on her beautifully locally made harpsichord.
As always, Nancy Tow will be presenting a very informative talk at 2.00pm preceding the concerts which starts at 2.30pm.
The strings will be performing Albinoni’s gorgeous Sinfonia in Bb and then sharing the stage with Sharelle Guest for Teleman’s well known flute Suite in A minor; Neil Heymink for Vivaldi’s Bassoon Concerto RV498 and Warren Brewer for Torelli’s Trumpet Sinfonia in D.
Finally, the players will join together for Bach’s powerhouse Brandenburg concerto No 5 and Handel’s ‘Atlanta’ Overture. It will be an afternoon of beautiful and familiar music.
