A deep affinity for the violin has seen musician Hayden Wiseman pursue a career studying, recording, performing, and now, teaching.

“I started playing piano at seven, but at 12 I switched to the violin,” Hayden said.  “I just loved the emotional nature of the instrument and the way music played on the violin can impact the listener.”

After completing a Bachelor’s degree (instrumental performance), at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Hayden has gone on to perform over 250 concerts throughout Australia and New Zealand. He has also produced 4 CD albums and a DVD.

Hayden has recently moved to the Sunshine Coast where he is now tutoring and coaching violin.  “Due to the restrictions of the past year and a half, I have found it enormously challenging to pursue a career solely in performance,” said Hayden. “And it seemed to be a great opportunity to share my playing style and philosophy with young violinists.”

“I believe we all need music in our lives. It is such a wonderful outlet for the stresses and pressures of life,” he said. “Now more than ever, it is good for the soul to experience live, timeless music in a beautiful venue. I can’t think of a better spot than the Palmwoods Memorial Hall.”
