Zonta propagates plants for sale, for charity

Zonta Club of Blackall Range members have once again propagated and grown a variety of plants for you to buy in time for your Spring and Summer gardens.

On Wednesday September 21 a range of garden plants and potted plants will be available for purchase at the kiosk in Maple Street.

Coordinator Lyndel Grant promises plants of good value and great variety starting from $5.

“We know how many gardeners there are across the range and how much they have been looking forward to the change of seasons. We will have day lilies, crow’s nests, natives, poly waffles, succulents, geraniums, azaleas and many more. Lots of established hanging baskets as well.

“This fundraising effort helps with the work Zonta does in the community and around the world,” she said.

Internationally, Zontians work with the United Nations to assist women from Afghanistan to the Ukraine. Zonta Club of Blackall Range also works locally to support women and is a foundation member of the “Speak Up Now” movement bringing awareness and support for survivors of domestic and family violence across our community.

If you miss the stall on the 21st, Zonta will be at the Maleny Garden Club Spring Fair at the Showgrounds on 1st October.
