After many months of construction work, Woombye's Blackall Street beautification is complete and is open for business.

Steeped in history, Woombye is one of the oldest towns on the Sunshine Coast and represents the definitive country town where you can get everything you need, in walking distance.

The history of the town has been acknowledged by Sunshine Coast Council in the beautification project, with plaques positioned outside of historical businesses in the street. Via QR codes, these plaques redirect to information which has been recorded about the fascinating history of the area.

The construction period proved to be extremely trying for many businesses in the street, and while business owners are very happy that the work is complete, they are also looking forward to welcoming both locals and visitors back into their beautiful town centre.
