Woombye community invited to share ideas at upcoming forum

The Community Bank Woombye & Districts, in collaboration with the Woombye Community & Business Association, is hosting a Community Forum on Thursday, 12th September, to gather input from local residents on a wide range of issues affecting the Woombye area.

With over $300,000 invested back into the community since its inception in 2009, the Community Bank aims to empower locals to have a say in shaping future investments over the next 3-5 years. The forum will provide an opportunity for residents to share their ideas and opinions on how to improve local facilities, services, and programs.

Ideas raised so far include the refurbishment of local playgrounds, the creation of a public pool, initiatives for isolated retirees and teenagers, and solutions for the ongoing parking challenges in the town. Additionally, proposals for new town entrance signage have been suggested.

The event will take place at Woombye State School, with drinks and deli catering provided from 5.30pm before the forum begins at 6pm. The organisers are encouraging everyone in the community to attend and contribute their thoughts.

To RSVP, locals can contact the Woombye Community Bank by phone at 5442 1311 or via email at info@thebetterbank.com.au. The forum offers a valuable chance for residents to work together to improve the future of Woombye.
