Maleny’s Melbourne Cup Fundraiser

THE Maleny Hospital Auxiliary annual Melbourne Cup Fundraiser is on Tuesday November 5 at the Maleny Hotel.

Ticket sale proceeds go to the Maleny Hospital Auxiliary, with limited ticket numbers available. There will be prizes for best dressed, best hat and best fascinator, as well as sweeps and fundraising raffles.

Tickets include a glass of sparkling and deluxe canapes on arrival, and is $25 per person. Tickets via the Maleny Hotel website.

Big Balcony Book Sale at Woombye Library

BOOK lovers are in for a treat at the Woombye Community Library's Big Balcony Book Sale, happening on Saturday, November 30. Held at the School of Arts Hall, located at the corner of Blackall and Hill Streets, the sale will run from 7:30am to 12 noon. With a wide range of adult and children's fiction and non-fiction titles available, it's a perfect opportunity to stock up on reading materials. Hinterland Music Club

HINTERLAND Music Club is going Country
on the second Saturday each month, from November the 9th, at 11am, at The Big Shed, Historical Village, Bryce Lane, Maleny. Walk-up artists, including beginners, are welcome, 5 chord charts please, and there is a band avail- able. Nambour Orchid Society

NAMBOUR Orchid Society are staging a one-day species show, at the Buderim Uniting Church, on Saturday the 9th of November, from 8am to 3pm. Go along and meet the growers, who will be happy to give advice on how to get the best results from your orchids. There will be a variety of flowering species in full bloom along with orchid and foliage plants for sale. Admission is $5.

Maleny Music Festival

THE Maleny Music Festival will be held in the Showground from the 8th to 10th of November. Go along for the day, or camp for the weekend for the family-friendly, relaxing three-day Festival. There will be four stages of music, a dedicated kids hub, a workshop tent and a sessions tent for jamming. Workshops, market stalls, street theatre, licensed bars and great food, will make this a great event.

Country Music Club

THE Maroochy River country Music Club will hold their November Concert on Sunday 10th,- commencing 12 noon. Venue is the A.C.M.A. Country Hall of Fame on Steggalls Road, Yandina. All welcome. Neighbourhood Centre AGM

MALENY Neighbourhood Centre Association will hold its annual AGM at 5pm on Tuesday 19 November at the Centre 17 Bicentenary Lane Maleny.

This is an opportunity for the community to learn more about the MNC’s work and vision. Light refreshments will be served.

Poem Project set to perform at Maleny Music Festival
