Grand Opening: Fresh bread, free coffee: Walters Bakery rises to the occasion
Nambour’s Currie Street has welcomed a new addition, with Walters Artisan Bread set for its official grand opening from Saturday, November 30, to Monday, December 2. Owner David Mares, who fought hard for the power connection needed to open his bakery, is thrilled to be part of the Currie Street community, and is celebrating with a free coffee offer for anyone purchasing food during the opening weekend.
Despite already trading successfully for some weeks now, this opening weekend marks a major milestone for Mr Mares, who faced obstacles with Energex in getting the bakery fully operational. “It’s been a journey, but I’m so pleased to be here and to finally celebrate our official opening with the community,” he said.
Walters Artisan Bread offers a delightful array of fresh baked goods, including their signature organic sourdough, baguettes, Turkish rolls, pies, croissants, and sweet treats like danishes. With the aroma of freshly baked bread already wafting down Currie Street, Walters Artisan Bread is set to become a beloved local stop.
The celebration runs from 7am on Saturday to 11am on Monday, and David Mares invites everyone to drop by, try their delicious menu, and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere.
