Get ready to flip and rock: World’s best Foo Fighters machine hits Nambour arcade!

Arcade owner Vaughan Jones with his new baby ... Foo Fighters  includes features never seen before on a pinball machine.

The Foo Fighters pinball game, which is presently rated as the world’s best pinball machine, has been flown out from Stern Pinball in Chicago and arrived at its new permanent home at Sunshine Coast Pinball this week.

Arcade owner Vaughan Jones says the new state of the art game is widely lauded, filled with new tech and appeals to all ages.

Foo Fighters are international headliners, and their catalogue of multi generational hits are featured in this astounding new game, designed by world famous pinball icon Jack Danger, so it’s perfect for junior pinball newcomers to rusted on pinball enthusiasts,” said Vaughan.

Foo Fighters  includes several new innovative features never seen before on a pinball machine along with amazing artwork from cult graphic artist “Zombie Yeti” and Stern Pinball’s award-winning “insider connected” online system.

“As this pinball game has been especially flown out from the manufacturer in the USA it’s here well before the first shipment of games hits our shores, so it’s very special. We are excited to have it here first, we think it will be a real drawcard for pinball tourists and local enthusiasts too,” Vaughan said.

“Due to the complexity to design and build a pinball machine, only a very small number of new games are announced annually worldwide, so the arrival of a new title like Foo Fighters, is big news for pinball players and enthusiasts, and we know this game is going to draw new visitors to the area”.

The game benefits from Stern’s new “Insider Connected” system that allows players to track their scores and progress across multiple visits, and compare their performance to other players worldwide. The software for Foo Fighters was written by former world #1 player Raymond Davidson.

“It’s incredibly fast and exciting, it’s incomparable to any other game I’ve ever played,” said Vaughan.

The game will be available to play from today (May 10) at Sunshine Coast Pinball, top floor C-Square, Currie St, Nambour. Next to Majestic Cinemas. www.sunshinecoastpinball.com.

“We built that first business up to the point that it attracted a buyer and that’s when we decided to buy Small Change and move our business into Nambour,” Ben explained.

“We are so excited to be part of this community. There is so much going on in Nambour and we love being part of it.

“An authentic Italian pizza place is moving into the space we have vacated and there is another wonderful new business opened next door in Currie Street, so I feel that new businesses will have the confidence to consider operating out of the main street. We all have great faith in the space, and in the town.”
