Sunshine Coast Council Division 5 hopefuls presented their pitches for election to a significant crowd at a 'Meet the Candidates' evening hosted by the Woombye Bowls Club on Monday night (Feb 26).

The event featured incumbent Councillor Winston Johnston, Greens candidate Tracy Burton, and independent Richard Bruinsma.

Each was allotted five minutes to introduce themselves and make their pitch to the ratepayers.

Organized by the Woombye Business & Community Association, the evening also featured a similar platform for Mayoral candidates Michael Burgess, Ashley Robinson, Wayne Parcell, Jason O’Pray, Rosanna Natoli and Min Swan.
