Stalwart brewer nervously awaits his ale house opening

Nambour’s Stalwart Alehouse and Brewery opens Saturday (July 18) and even though it’s all-but booked solid, owner Adam Tomlinson is nervous.

“The deadline’s drawing near and I know we’ve got a full house Saturday, but I just hope everything goes well,” said Adam, pictured. “I don’t want to disappoint people. It’s one thing to get people here, but you have to keep them coming back.”

It is hoped the venture at 78-84 Currie Street, will breathe new life into Nambour’s CBD just as it has revived its 109-year-old heritage listed building.  The venue will be the first business to take advantage of Council’s new special entertainment precinct designation, intended to attract more hospitality businesses to the area. “It’s open Saturday from 10.30am,” said Adam. “We have limited tables available Saturday but still available Sunday.”
