This Friday night (August 12) the Retro Rocks Festival will kick off in the Council Chambers Forecourt in Nambour at 5pm.

“We are so excited to be able to bring this fabulous festival back to Nambour this year,” said event organiser, Kathleen Ashworth. “We are proud to be one of the few events to take place during Covid-smashed 2020, but we couldn’t prevail in 2021.”

“The theme is “Salute to the Services” and events will run on the 12th and 13th of August.”

Retro Rocks Nambour and Reimagine Nambour Inc have joined forces to bring this year’s lineup of all things retro, to life.

“This year’s festival will feature all the perennial favourites such as hot rods and custom cars, vintage service vehicles, a parade inspection, an apron competition, Miss ‘Glambour’, fashions on the field, a vintage fashion parade, cool kids catwalk, stalls, music, dancing and more,” Kathleen said.

“Our activities this year will bring in people of all ages. We can’t wait for the fun and celebrations to begin.”
