A year later and RE/MAX owner has sky high plans for agency

RE/MAX Nambour Principal Tristan Brown ... “We could likely see another 5-10% increase this year”.

Last Wednesday marked a year since Tristan Brown purchased RE/MAX Property Sales Nambour.

Mr Brown said he was proud to lead an award-winning and record-breaking team that had grown from 8 to 19 employees in 12 months.

“I honestly couldn’t be happier,” Mr Brown said. “It has been a very big & busy year. We have some tremendous agents, who have been with the company for years & continuously have hit incredible goals, I am very thankful that they welcomed me in with open arms. My administration team is second to none & our Property Management department (which was started a year ago when I become the owner) have been knocking it out of the park.

“Most importantly, I really enjoy walking through the doors every day, and as an owner and an agent what more could you ask for than that.

“It is a tremendous culture and wonderful atmosphere, so thank you to everybody within our office and also a special thank you to everyone outside our office that supported us and all our loyal clients. We are looking forward to a big year in 2022.”

SVGazette: Speaking of 2022 what are your plans for the Agency this year? ...

Tristan Brown: “We are excited to be launching our very own RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon here on the Sunshine Coast. It will be operated by Balooning Sunshine Coast and available for everyone to book and experience the Sunny Coast by air.

“This was a major investment by RE/MAX Australia and the 3 RE/MAX offices here on the coast.

“We will also continue our rapid growth with the recruitment of both new and experienced agents.

“This is aimed at not only continuing our strength in the Nambour market but our expansion throughout all other suburbs on the Sunshine Coast.”

SVG: Have we hit a ceiling in real estate prices yet?

TB:  “Generally buyer interest is very strong for property that represents value and appeals to the marketplace. We are seeing some properties remain on market a little longer due to increased seller expectations.

“We could likely see another 5-10% increase this year however we are noticing many sellers looking to take their profits sooner rather than later.”

SVG: How has the start to the new year been in terms of the market?

TB:  “It has been mixed. Stock levels are increasing slightly and buyer interest is still strong.

“Some sellers are being caught out with increased price expectations which will require monitoring. Overall it’s still a phenomenal time to sell.”

SVG: What else would you like to say about the local real estate market?

TB: “Nambour remains high on the list for buyers however we are seeing the entry level price point now sitting closer to $700,000, which is quite incredible from where we were 2-3 years ago!

“There is increased interest from investors who are looking to try and fill the void for tenancies in the area.

“The market is certainly doing its job. Now the focus needs to be firmly shone on local, state and federal representatives to work on the anti-social behaviour still plaguing the town centre. It’s one the missing pieces of the puzzle for Nambour.”
