Brendan Chan and Aaron Borg are converting The Village Pickle dining area into a record shop for the week-long residency from October 30.

Two Nambour businesses are joining forces for a week-long celebration of music and food.

The Village Pickle is set to host a retail residency of record shop Bad Habit Records from Saturday 30 October.

The pop-up shop will feature a broad selection of new and secondhand records, tapes, CDs and T-shirts from Australian and international artists.

Owners of The Village Pickle Jaimi Crocker and Brendan Chan said they were excited to be converting their indoor dining area into a record shop for the week-long residency.

“It’s going to attract a new crowd to visit us and will add something new for our regulars to experience – it’s a win-win,” Ms Crocker said.

The plan for the pop-up residency was hatched with Bad Habit Records Owner Aaron Borg, who is a regular customer and has previously performed live DJ sets at the Village Pickle.

“The place has a great atmosphere and is the perfect setting for people to get together, enjoy a beer and a sandwich and browse through records,” Mr Borg said.

“We specialise in underground punk and metal but have a broad range of other stuff.”

• The Village Pickle is located at 95 Blackall Tce and is open 8am to 3pm Tuesday and Wednesday, 8am to 8pm Thursday and Friday and 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

• Bad Habit Records can be found most Thursdays at Nambour Village Square Market and Saturdays at Yandina Markets, as well as online at badhabitrecords.com.au.
