Festival celebrates diversity, inclusion and creativity

The Rangebow Festival is quickly approaching, and events are filling up fast. This vibrant festival aims to celebrate the creative life and spirit of Blackall Range communities, with a strong focus on diversity, inclusion, sustainability, and reconciliation. Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store for attendees:

Forage Fire Feast

Join Chris Jordan of Three Little Birds, a Koori man, and Aunty Dale Chapman from My Dilly Bag, as they bring exceptional food, produce, and culture to this authentic event on August 1, from 5.30pm-9.30pm at Flaxton Gardens. Featuring Onyx and fire performances, this evening promises to be unforgettable. Secure your tickets soon as this event is expected to sell out. Tickets are $195 per person.

After-Dinner Mintz – Burlesque

Celebrate the female form in a vibrant burlesque show featuring The Kitty Kats, Scarlet Tinkabelle, and hosted by Sophie deLightful. This event, dedicated to honouring women through music, song, and dance, will take place on August 3, at 7pm in the Maleny Community Centre. Tickets are $50 per person and it is set to be a night to remember.

Symphony Opera Premiere

Experience a sublime journey of exquisite voice and breathtaking music with the Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra on August 4, from 5.45pm-7.15pm at the Maleny Community Centre. Featuring Tenor Raffaele Pierno and Soprano Judit Molnar, operatic artists of international acclaim, this event will showcase a selection of the world’s most popular arias. Tickets are $40 per person.

Glowtopia

This unmissable music and dance party on August 4 from 2pm in Montville Village Hall is designed for little ravers. Featuring a festival DJ with lights, lasers, big smiles, and wild, zany costumes, it’s an exciting event for children accompanied by their parents or guardians. Don’t forget to dress up for a chance to win prizes for the best costume!
