Business powering Nambour for two decades

For decades, Nambour Outdoor Power has been servicing Nambour and the hinterland with small engines for blocks of all sizes.
In April 2019 when current owners, Jo and Scott Williamson purchased the business, they brought 20 years of experience in mechanics and management to the business with them.
“Scott is a motorbike mechanic by trade and I managed Medical Centres,” Jo explained.
“But we always wanted to have our own business, and it was wonderful to come into a business that stocked reputable equipment, and which itself, had such a great name.”
The business had always been a Husqvarna dealership and Jo and Scott decided from the outset that they would continue with the brand.
“It was a no brainer really,” Jo said. “Husqvarna is a world class brand and we knew that we wanted to stock products that were of a high quality and would withstand the test of time. Husqvarna easily ticks those boxes. We also sell Honda equipment, which again, has a very good and well deserved reputation.”
As well as retailing outdoor power equipment such as mowers of all kinds from self propelled to zero turn, push, tractor style, petrol, battery and electric, chippers, chainsaws, brush cutters, and generators, the couple also have a mechanical workshop on site to take care of repairs and maintenance.
“Our products represent a real investment and you will only get best results if you maintain it properly,” said Jo.
“In the first instance, we take the time to understand exactly what you need the equipment to do for you, and then we can match you with the product that will help you achieve that objective. We want our customers to safely get the best results.”
To that end, the staff at Nambour Outdoor Power Equipment are required to regularly upgrade their product knowledge at ‘Husqvarna University’.
“This is very specific dealer training to ensure that we all understand the product range in great depth,” Jo said.
“It is a really important aspect of our staff professional development, as the products are continuously being upgraded and improved.”
