Discobility returns with Mexican Fiesta at Nambour Rugby League Club

The evening will feature live music by popular local band Missing Link.

Nambour Rugby League Club is gearing up to host another Discobility Dance Event on Saturday, September 21, with this edition themed “Mexican Fiesta.” Designed for 18+ participants with disabilities, the event offers a safe and fun environment to enjoy music, dancing and social interaction.

Club President Mark Turner shared the importance of the event for the local community. “These dances provide an opportunity for friendship and social interaction in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, and we’re excited to bring another fun-filled night to Nambour.”

The evening will feature live music by popular local band Missing Link, free face painting by Suzy the Face Painter, and a photo booth courtesy of Bob from Foto Frog. Guests will also have the chance to compete in a “Guess How Many Mexican Jumping Beans in a Jar” contest, with prizes awarded for best costume and lucky door.

Doors open at 6pm, and the event will run until 9pm. Entry is $15, with a discounted $5 rate for support workers or family members. A delicious supper is included with entry, ensuring everyone is fuelled for a night of dancing.

Mark Turner also thanked local sponsors, including Councillor David Law, Rob Skelton MP, White’s IGA Bli Bli, and other community businesses for their support. For more information, visit the Discobility Sunshine Coast Facebook page or contact Wendy on 0407 712207.
