New members, guest speakers line up for Nambour Chamber event

Nambour Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its first Coffee Catch Up of the year tomorrow morning (February 8) from 8-9.30am at Nambour Town Square.

“We are excited that this event will coincide with the weekly Nambour Town Markets,” said Chamber President Mark Bray.

“There will be a number of speakers at the event and there will be new members to tell us more about their businesses.

“Matty Johnson from Economic Development at Sunshine Coast Council will be letting us know about their exciting plans for 2024, and Rhonda Billett from IAmNambour will also speak about what will be happening in 2024.”

Mr Bray will be outlining how the Chamber plans to move into the new year, and the benefits to businesses of joining.

The newly structured membership offers not only the opportunity to network and do business, but also various levels of promotion in local print and digital media.

“I think it is an exciting way to kick off the year and I hope to see a great attendance,” said Mr Bray.

Those attending the event will enjoy a free coffee sponsored by Sunshine Coast Council and provided by Banksia Espresso on the corner of Lowe and Ann Streets. “Our Coffee Catch Ups are always such a great opportunity for business people to meet and mingle, and we would love to see you there,” he said.

The Chamber will be holding monthly coffee catch ups and regular drinks@5 events.

Board members Brian Bugenhagen, Mark Bray, Jodie Chatillon and Matt Wall will welcome everyone to the Town Square.
