Legendary vocalist to star at Maleny Long Lunch

Rai Thistlethwayte is travelling up the hill to wow audiences at the second Maleny Long Lunch.

Following the huge sold-out success of the inaugural Maleny Long Lunch in October 2021 – which featured legendary vocalist Glenn Shorrock – the event is making a return to the Maleny Showgrounds Pavilion.

On Sunday April 3 one of Australia’s greatest musicians, Rai Thistlethwayte, will travel up the hill to wow audiences at the second Maleny Long Lunch. Rai is well known for the classic hits he penned as front man of pop giants Thirsty Merc such as “20 Good Reasons”, ‘In The Summertime’ (The Bondi Rescue theme song for over 11 years) and ‘Someday, Someday’ plus many more.

The Maleny Long Lunch will again be offering up a sumptuous feed courtesy of our mates at Gympie’s legendary Smokehouse Beauty & The Beard and thanks to our partners from Bird In Hand Wines and Sunshine & Sons, there will again be amazing quality wines and cocktails as well as a selection of beers available to purchase from the bar.

Supporting Rai Thistlethwayte will be Sunshine Coast’s rising star of Country Pop, Taylor Moss. Rounding off the afternoon will be the brilliant Mismo Tempo who promise a breezy set of sing along classic hits to accompany those early evening sundowners.

The event will open its doors at noon and will run until 6.30pm at which time audiences can toddle off home and hit the sofa.

Profits from the bar will help support Wishlist. For more information and tickets go to www.malenylonglunch.com
