Jabula Roses ready for bumper Valentine’s Day

Spud and Jane Murphy, owners of Jabula Roses for almost a decade, are run off their feet at the moment in preparation for their busiest day of the year, Valentine’s Day.Established in 1996, this Palmwoods business is a true local success story, wholesaling to retailers and florists, they also sell direct to the public; specialising in roses only, this focus ensures their roses are premium quality, and as a result, not only look amazing, but last longer.Selling eight varieties in different colours, surprisingly red is not their most popular colour, “white is the most popular, followed by pale pink,” said Jane. The colours range from the elegant velvet red through to spectacular mottled orange, a vibrant bright yellow through to softer colours such as lilac and peach...there’s a colour to suit every occasion.Outside of Valentine’s Day, the second busiest day is Mother’s Day, followed by a consistently busy Spring wedding period.“We sell roses for every occasion; people host celebrations for a variety of reasons all throughout the year, so it can be a little unpredictable at times.  Christmas and Easter is also a busy time.”With a well established reputation, Jabula’s customers don’t just come from the Sunshine Coast; they have customers from all over south-east Queensland including Gympie, Brisbane and as far north as Maryborough.Jane and Spud believe the key to their success is not only the consistently high quality of their roses, but their friendly customer service.“We are a family owned and run small business, and we value our customers and always ensure we deliver not only the optimum product, but friendly, warm service...we want them to come back, we want them to tell their friends, and most of all we want them to be happy with their roses.”Jabula Roses is located at 176 Winston Road, Palmwoods and is open from Monday to Thursday 7am to 3pm, Fridays 7am to 5pm, and Saturday mornings from 7am to 9am.  Phone orders can be taken on 5445 0552 or www.jabularoses.com.au.
