The historic Imperial Hotel in Eumundi has unveiled the first stage of its extensive renovation, marking a significant milestone under the ownership of the Comiskey Group.

The completion of stage one was celebrated on September 21 with family, friends, and the local community in attendance.

The first phase features an elegantly refurbished front bar, an expanded gaming room, and a new TAB area, all designed in collaboration with KP Architects and interior design studio CTRL Space.

The updated space showcases a blend of traditional pub elements, such as vintage wooden windows, timber panelling, and tartan carpets, while paying homage to the hotel’s long-standing history through historic Eumundi photographs. The next stage of the renovation will focus on converting "The Bunker" into a large kids' room, adding a new restaurant, beer garden, bar, and band room. The Comiskey Group, which acquired the hotel late last year, anticipates completing the renovation by March next year.

The Imperial Hotel, established in 1911, remains a local favourite and is set to enter a new era as renovations continue.
