These days an increasing numbers of people are struggling with mental health issues and cancer is on the rise. This has led to a greater search for different ways to manage these serious health issues.

“I have found that my clients are generally physically, mentally and spiritually fragile and exhausted,” said Palmwoods massage therapist and esoteric practitioner, Linda Goggan who specialises in oncology massage. 

“I have developed a practice and created a space that allows them to experience some repose from this chronic state of overwhelm and tension.”

Having been in the wellness industry for the best part of 20 years, Linda has tried many modalities and forms of spiritual practice, but the ones that stuck were massage and Sacred Esoteric Healing. 

Linda is also currently in her second year of a Bachelor of Health Science in Western Herbal Medicine.

“The philosophy and teachings that are the foundation of Sacred Esoteric Healing have been paramount in my own healing and have supported me through my own personal traumas,” Linda said. “I know firsthand how powerful they are.”

“A defining moment for me occurred while my mother was in palliative care at the end of her time with ovarian cancer. 

“As anyone who has been with a loved one at the end of their life will know, it is common to feel quite helpless. 

“By combining Sacred Esoteric Healing with my massage training I was able to genuinely support my mother, and there was something incredibly rewarding about being able to offer her this love and comfort at the end.”

This experience opened Linda up to the field of Oncology Massage. 

“As a qualified massage therapist, oncology massage therapist and esoteric practitioner, I  am able to offer specialised body work to a very specific clientele,” Linda said. 

“People have become more anxious and over-stimulated through screens, caffeine and sugar, amongst other things. This has led to severe exhaustion. 

“Esoteric healing works directly on energy centres to restore various body systems such as the nervous system to a rested state. It provides a complete contrast to feeling ‘racy’ and overstimulated.”

“Increasingly, there are those who know that there is more to us than just the physical, that there is an energetic self that often is neglected. This is where my role is to facilitate the reconnection to that innermost essence with practical and tangible tools. I take the ‘woo woo’ out of energy work to bring about a deeper connection to our body.”
