Garden Expo lines up wealth of talent on speaker list

The Expo welcomes Gardening Australia’s Costa Georgiadis on Saturday and Sunday.

With over 150 free talks over the four days the Queensland Garden Expo at Nambour Showgrounds is sure to spark your interest.

Queensland Garden Expo organiser Marion Beasley said the full program of speakers was online at qldgardenexpo.com.au and encouraged people to plan ahead to explore their favourite topics.

“Our speaker program varies each day so check out the program for each day and plan your visit in advance,” said Marion.

“For those perhaps interested in some more specialised topics, Thursday may be your pick of the days where you’ll find Jerry Coleby-Williams speaking about growing Begonias or Claire Bickle with her hot tips on growing Roses in South East Queensland.

“Thursday attendees can catch Phil Dudman with his talk about prepping your patch for Spring ... have you got your veggie planting plan ready?”

On Friday people can visit the Cook’s Garden Stage and meet well-known chef Matt Golinski.

“Join Matt as he talks us through cooking with native bush foods that you can grow at home,” said Marion. “Then why not take a trip over to the Kitchen Garden stage where we welcome back Megg Miller as she shares some great information for keeping chooks–getting back to basics.”

On Saturday and Sunday the Expo welcomes Gardening Australia’s Costa Georgiadis who brings his own special brand of enthusiasm as he shares his love of community, collaboration and the power of plants.
