Studio champions bone health for Osteoporosis Day

With Osteoporosis Day approaching on October 20, Flaxton’s Active Range Studio is keen to highlight the success stories of local women who are bucking the trend.

“Too many women believe there’s no turning back from weak bones. But at our studio, we’re demonstrating the opposite,” says Active Range Founder Stephanie Allen, an accredited Exercise Physiologist. “Ladies in their 40s, 50s, and 60s are not only halting bone density loss but are also increasing it, thanks to our bone- boosting exercises and nutritional guidance.”

Stephanie is driven by the alarming statistic that 1 in 2 women face the risk of developing Osteoporosis, especially post 50.

At Active Range Studio, even ladies diag- nosed with Osteoporosis are encouraged to continue exercising, particularly with weights.

“We hope to inspire women to start nurturing their bones to prevent this silent disease,” said Stephanie. “Some of our ladies are living with Osteoporosis but are still lifting weights, this is important to know because so many women live in fear and stop exercising.”
