Dragonfly image wins Montville award

Andrew Wallace chats to Warne Wilson and Kevin Trevarthen.

Congratulations to the winners of Montville Chamber of Commerce’s “The Magic of a Montville Christmas Photography Competition”.

Niel Wark won the Gold Award for his stunning image of a dragonfly. The winning entry was awarded a large framed canvas generously sponsored by Ben Messina Landscape and Nature Photography.

“Big congratulations to Niel who was also our inaugural winner last year,” said Chamber of Commerce president Shiralee Cooper.

The Silver Award was presented to Tina Cooper for her gorgeous capture of Lake Baroon festooned with Christmas colours. Tina won a 2-night cottage stay in the award-winning The Falls Montville generously donated by Alan and Aryna Dryden.

The Bronze was awarded to Jaqueline Watkins for her adorable photo of her son with a pine cone. The prize is a $250 Illume Creations voucher donated by Shiralee Cooper.

Niel was also awarded Highly Commended for his image of a Kookaburra perched on festive bunting in Montville. Our final four entries were all from locals sharing their love of Montville.

“A huge thanks to the amazing judges Ben Messina Landscape and Nature Photography and Ben Connolly Professional Photographer who once again supported the competition,” said Shiralee.
