Get revved up for a weekend of vintage dirt bike action

Vintage dirt bike enthusiasts are gearing up for the Ballards Offroad Conondale Classic Weekend presented by Rat Racing on June 9-11.

Set in the stunning Green Park, Conondale in Queensland, this year’s festival features five tracks to watch and ride, including motocross, enduro, grasstrack, trials and multiple non-competitive tracks for riders to enjoy throughout the weekend. The event is family-friendly and all are welcome to come out and experience the festival’s entertainment, food, and drinks.

The Shannons’s Vintage Bike Show n Shine, which takes place on Saturday from 12pm-1pm, is one of the highlights of the weekend. There are eight categories ranging from Best MX, Enduro or Dirt Track Bikes to Rarest and Judges’ Choice.

“The Green Park Conondale venue is renowned for having the best natural terrain dirt bike tracks in Australia, offering a unique and authentic experience for riders and spectators.” said spokesperson Robbie Warden. “The Classic Weekend event attracts over 500 vintage dirt bike riders, 1000 motorbikes on display, and 1500 spectators each year, creating a vibrant and supportive community of riders and fans.”

Organisers were passionate about vintage dirt bikes and committed to providing a high-quality and safe riding environment.

“The event is the Sunshine Coast Motorcycle Club’s largest fundraiser of the year, with all proceeds going towards supporting the venue,” said Robbie.

In addition to the on-track action, the festival features a range of entertainment options including live music, a trade alley and swap meet, onsite camping, showers, and a bar. Saturday night also includes a huge raffle of sponsor prizes worth over $10,000, including a fully restored vintage 1989 YZ250 dirt bike.

The festival’s festive atmosphere and wide range of attractions make it a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Spectators and riders alike are encouraged to come out and enjoy the vintage dirt biking action and community spirit.
